Assessment
English literature is assessed with 2 exams at the end of year 13. One is a paper on tragedy which has questions on Othello, Death of a Salesman and Keats and the second is on political and social protest literature with 2 sections on a range of texts we have studied and one section on an unseen text. The exams are worth 80% of the final grade, the other 20% comes from 2 coursework essays which apply a critical lens to a novel and a collection of poetry.
