Course summary

The qualification is equivalent in size to one A Level. Learners will study three mandatory units: 'Anatomy and Physiology', 'Fitness Training', 'Programming for Health, Sport and Well-being' and 'Professional Development in the Sports Industry'. Learners will also study Unit 4 'Sports Leadership' - In this practical unit, students will develop their leadership skills in sport an improve their understanding of coaching to improve performance. This BTEC qualification is designed in consultation with professional bodies, businesses and universities. Students gain the skills and knowledge required for the sports industry and apply them to real life scenarios. If you have a passionate interest in sport, this qualification is for you!
