Art and Design (Textiles)
Course summary
Candidates are required to work in one or more area(s) of Textile Design, such as those listed below: Fashion, Printed and/or dyed fabric and materials, Domestic textiles and wallpaper, Interior design, Constructed textiles, Textile installation During the course students are introduced to a variety of experiences exploring a range of textile media, techniques and processes. Students will be given the opportunity to investigate both traditional and new technologies and research design, from the past and from recent times, including European and nonEuropean examples. Students are expected to evidence their work in three different forms. These include; sketchbook, portfolio pages and final pieces.
