Course summary

Unit 1 Performing - either solo and/or ensemble. Unit 2 - Composing. Unit 3 - Appraising. Across the two years, students will study six different areas of study each containing three set works. They will analyse each of the pieces and listen to a variety of pieces related to the set works. Areas of study: 1. Vocal music. 2. Instrumental music. 3. Music for film. 4. Popular music and jazz. 5. Fusions. 6. New directions.
