You’ll refine your analytical skills, learning how to examine historical sources and communicate your knowledge. Studying two units in the first year, Germany circa 1918-89 and Spain circa 1930- 78, you’ll establish a thorough understanding of history as a discipline and carry out your own independent research in a historical enquiry worth 20% of your overall grade, the remainder is of the assessment is exam-based.
5 GCSEs at grades 9-4 including English and maths. If taken at GCSE, a minimum grade 4 in history. If GCSE history has not been taken, we’ll need to discuss your options with you.
