The language of the universe, mathematics offers progression into limitless fields. The course includes algebra, calculus, geometry, statistics and mechanics, giving you an insight into the way the world works, analysis techniques and ways of developing your problem-solving skills.
5 GCSEs at grade 9-4 including English and maths. Must have at least grade 6 in mathematics, with an average GCSE point score of 5.5 or better. If your average GCSE point score is less than 5.5, you must have an 8/9 in GCSE mathematics.
At the end of the second year, students will be assessed by three external examinations: pure and mechanics, pure and statistics, and finally pure and comprehension, which involves the students answering questions about a mathematical article.
