Ever wondered why you can’t square root a negative number? Ever considered what might happen if we allowed this anyway? An A-level in Further Maths will expose you to new concepts and ideas that you never thought possible in GCSE and many of them are not touched in the ‘single’ Maths A-level. Ideas such as Complex Numbers, Matrices and 3D vectors are vital if you are considering studying Maths or Engineering at University and they will be useful for many more subjects.
