Students at Fallibroome follow the OCR Physics A course. This is a challenging and rewarding course that will establish concrete foundations for both further study within physics and applications beyond physics. The specification is designed to inspire and enthuse learners. The course will develop your interest in and enjoyment of the subject, including developing a desire for further study in physics. This will lead to a greater interest in careers associated with physics.
Students who have not achieved Grade 4 in English and Maths join the resit group which is taught on Wednesday afternoons as a part of the Curriculum Enrichment Programme. Resits are offered in both the November and Summer examination sessions. Students who wish to improve their English or Maths GCSE grades can also join the resit group. Upper grade 5 or above in GCSE physics or grade 5-6 or above in GCSE combined science, together with upper grade 5 or above in GCSE mathematics. It is recommended that students also study A Level mathematics alongside this subject.
