Assessment

Year 1: As there are no external exams, formal assessments will take place throughout the year, with internal exams taking place in the summer. Year 2: Paper 1: 35% of A-level: A 2 hr written exam = 91 marks. A mixture of short and long answer questions and extended response questions. Paper 2: 35% of A-level: A 2 hr written exam = 91 marks. A mixture of short and long answer questions and comprehension questions. Paper 3: 30% of A-level: A 2 hr written exam = 78 marks. Structured questions including practical techniques, critical analysis of given experimental data and an essay from a choice of two titles.
