Course summary

Psychology is the study of human behavior. It is a fascinating and challenging subject, which appeals to both scientists and non-scientists. It is highly regarded by employers and universities as it focuses on an understanding of what makes us think, feel and behave. In this course you will learn about the different areas of psychology and how they relate to each other. You will be able to appreciate the scientific nature of psychology through practical experiments and tests and gain a holistic understanding of the subject through engaging in contemporary psychology debates. Progression: Psychology combines well with many subjects including media, sociology, biology and PE. It is relevant for a wide range of careers including those in the health services, caring professions, police and social services, as well as in business, education, advertising and the media.

Entry requirements

To be considered for this course as part of a full A level programmed, you will need an average GCSE point score of 6 (B) including a minimum of grade 6 (B) in Math's and English.
