Course summary

The course is split into two main areas of Micro and Macro Economics. Students will study the following topic areas in Year 12: • Markets and allocation of resources • Supply and demand in competitive markets • Market mechanisms • Macroeconomic performance • Aggregate demand and aggregate supply • Macroeconomic policy In Year 13 they will then go on to look at: • Price determination in markets • Market structures • Wealth, poverty and inequality • Financial markets and monetary policy • Fiscal and supply side policies • International economy
