Assessment

This qualification is predominantly coursework based with a practical exam at the end of the second year. Students will be awarded marks for developing a sustained project, which includes evidence of experimentation, investigation of different techniques/ processes and an ability to create personal responses. Coursework and exams are marked internally and moderated externally. Please see the assessment weighting below: Component 1- Personal Investigation (60%) Component 2- Externally Set Assignment (40%)
