Year 1 Unit 1: skills workshops and portfolio building Unit 2: externally set task (concluding in a 10 hour exam) Year 2 Unit 3: personal investigation, 60% of grade, includes a 1,000+ word related study essay Unit 4: externally set task (concluding in a 10 hour exam), 40% of grade Assessment objectives: AO1: develop ideas through sustained and focused investigations informed by contextual and other sources, demonstrating analytical and critical understanding. AO2: explore and select appropriate resources, media, techniques and processes, reviewing and refining as work develops. AO3: record ideas, observations and insights relevant to intentions, reflecting critically on work and progress. AO4: present a personal and meaningful response that realizes intentions and, where appropriate, makes connections between visual and other elements.
