A course for students with an interest in Mathematics, who are self-motivated, resilient and who wish to further their mathematical knowledge in other related subjects.
5+ GCSE Grades A* - C including English and a grade A*-B in Mathematics All students should have studied GCSE Mathematics at the Higher Level and should discuss their suitability for this course with Mrs Raybould before applying. There could be a possibility of AS Mathematics in some circumstances. Students have achieved Grade 5 or above in FIVE separate subjects ideally including English and Mathematics. In order to study a subject at A Level, you would be required to have at Grade 5 in that particular subject if you have studied it at GCSE
Written examinations take place in summer each year (3 papers, each 2 hours). All assessments will be linear, with 100% examination. Grades are the familiar A level grades of A* to E.
