Welcome to Paget High School
Welcome to Sixth Form
At Paget Sixth Form, we are committed to supporting every student into becoming the best version of themselves. Every student who leaves our Sixth Form must be ready for the next stage of his or her life, both socially and academically. It is our ambition that every student feels empowered to make the right choices, knowing they have a network of adults and peers ready to support them. The best possible education ensures students are clear on how to flourish academically, while feeling secure and safe.
In studying at Paget Sixth Form, you become part of a Good Sixth Form striving to always improve and do the best for its students. You are taught by teachers who are experts in their field, with vast experience of delivering strong results in their subjects. You are also supported by a tutor team with decades of experience in helping students apply to university, apprenticeships or employment once their time at Paget is over. We have a particularly high proportion of students applying to university study. As a result, our Alumni can be found at universities all over the UK, from our local universities to the biggest universities in the country, including Oxbridge. We also support some of our students every year going on to Medicine, Dentistry and a range of other courses that require specialist support.
To be a successful student at Paget Sixth Form, we expect you to be dedicated, hardworking and committed to your studies. Your behaviour and attitude to learning will be exemplary, and your attendance outstanding. You will participate fully in your lessons, ask questions and strive for understanding. You will also complete any work set to the best of your ability, and on time.
We are very proud of our Sixth Form students, who serve as role models for their younger peers, with their exemplary behaviour. Our students readily take on leadership roles throughout their time here, as subject ambassadors, prefects and head students. Our students come from a range of backgrounds, faiths and ethnicities, and demonstrate tolerance, respect and kindness towards each other.
This is an exciting time to be at Paget Sixth Form, with a brand new Sixth Form area, with a supervised study room dedicated to developing students’ independent study skills, new independent study rooms for students who have developed those skills and a new common room for students to relax and unwind at break and lunch.
We look forward to guiding you on your journey through Sixth Form education, and welcoming you into our community.
Kindest regards,
Richard Kinrade

I am studying Multimedia Journalism at the University of Salford, which couldn’t have been done without Paget’s help. Mr Kinrade gave me brilliant guidance on my UCAS application and personal statement during Year 13, ranging from structure and language to encouraging me to be myself throughout the whole process. My subject teachers provided me with support in the classroom regarding my chosen subjects, but most importantly, they helped me navigate any stresses or concerns I had during my time doing A-Levels without judgement

From the beginning of Year 12, teachers helped me with my journey to Oxford. This ranged from being given extra work that I asked for or that they thought would be useful and helping me with super-curriculars. Mr Kinrade helped me with my personal statement by giving critical feedback to make my application more attractive; staff helped me prepare for interview, my admission tests and provided motivation. Most importantly, I always felt as if my teachers believed in the possibility of me getting into Oxford. This meant that when I struggled with self-confidence there were teachers that listened to me and helped me get through the doubts.

Currently I am a university student of Bangor University in North Wales where I am completing an undergraduate degree in Modern Languages - including German, French and Spanish. This, however, wouldn’t have happened without guidance from my teachers and form tutor as they gave me the tools and information to carry forward my career in languages.
