Course summary

As consumers, employers and employees affected by the actions of business, it is beneficial to understand how the real world works. Businesses come in different shapes and sizes and many have other motives than just existing solely for profit. This course will give you a comprehensive view of how companies function and the ways in which they interact with the world. During the first year, the course will focus specifically on the internal functions of a company such as, Finance, Marketing, Human Resources and Operations. The second year will chiefly concentrate on major external factors that impact on the strategies of bigger businesses.
