Course summary
The T Level Technical Qualification in Building Services Engineering for Construction allows learners to gain an understanding of the Building Services Engineering industry and the sector. T Levels , which follow GCSEs and are equivalent to 3 A Levels. These 2-year courses have been developed in collaboration with employers and businesses so that the content meets the needs of industry and prepares students for work. T Levels will offer students a mixture of classroom learning and ‘on-the-job’ experience during an industry placement of at least 45 days. The T Level Technical Qualification in T Level Technical Qualification in Building Services Engineering for Construction (8710) - Plumbing and Heating Engineering will equip you to work in this industry. This qualification is aimed at learners aged 16-19-years old who wish to work within the Building Services Engineering Industry. Currently available in England only. A learner who completes this qualification is well placed to develop to full occupational competence with the proper support and training. T Level courses will include the following compulsory elements: • Technical qualification, which will include • core theory, concepts and skills for an industry area • Specialist skills and knowledge for an occupation or career • Industry placement with an employer Every T Level will include an industry placement with an employer focused on developing the practical and technical skills required for the occupation. These will last a minimum of 45 working days but can last longer. Employers can offer industry placements as a block, day release or a mix of these.
