Course summary

This qualification is designed for learners who are interested in an introduction to the study of creating IT systems to manage and share information, alongside other fields of study, to progress to a wide range of higher education courses. Students will achieve the equivalent of one GCE ‘A’ Level. The new Btecs are considered as rigorous as a traditional A’Level and will carry equivalent UCAS points for entry into university. IT will support just about every job you can plan to do. Specific IT career options include IT Consultant, Web designer, systems analyst, and UX (user experience) developer. ICT also supports and compliments many other subjects like Business Studies and Accounting.
