Unit 1 - The Quest for Political Stability - Germany 1871 - 1991 (40%) In the assessment, you will answer three questions. One of the questions will test your ability to understand historical interpretations and two essay-based questions. Unit 2 - The Making of Modern Britain - Britain 1951 - 2007 (40%) In the assessment, you will answer three questions. One of the questions will test your ability to understand historical sources and two essay-based questions. NEA - Ireland (1789 - 1901) - You will get the opportunity to pursue your historical investigation into one of the central themes surrounding Ireland. This will take the form of a 4,000 work essay where you will be expected to do your research including finding your interpretations and sources as well as appropriate referencing.
