Course summary

At Key Stage 5, our objective is to both cultivate and sustain students’ ardor for history while elevating their understanding of history as an evolving and multifaceted academic discipline. Our curriculum’s subject matter has been meticulously curated to fortify their profound contextual comprehension of pivotal historical transformations and contemporary issues, encompassing three rigorous areas of study: • Britain 1930 – 1997 • The Cold War in Asia 1945 – 1993 • The Viking Age c. 790 – 1066. Furthermore, students will undertake an individualized coursework endeavor centered on a historical topic of their selection, affording them the opportunity for scholarly exploration and analysis.
