Course summary

This course will explore the effectiveness of economic policies in relation to the achievement of particular economic objectives and assess both microeconomic and macroeconomic decisions in specific contexts, giving you the skills and confidence to make judgements and decisions about the assessments you make. You will develop the necessary analytical, questioning and quantitative skills to progress in the area of Economics, as well as learn to confront topical issues and take part in student debates. You will also gain knowledge and understanding of the key aspects of economic theories and policies, as well as the impact these have on the economy and on economic agents. As part of the course you will explore the effectiveness of economic policies in relation to the achievement of a particular economic objective.
