Paper 1: Factors affecting participation in physical activity and sport – 35% - Applied anatomy and physiology - Skill acquisition - Sport and society Paper 2: Factors affecting optimal performance in physical activity and sport – 35% - Exercise physiology and biomechanics - Sport psychology - Sport and society and technology in sport. Papers 1 and 2 will be written exams: both 2 hours long. Each paper will be worth 35% of your A-level mark. Questions will consist of multiple choices, short answers, and extended writing. Practical – 30% of final grade. Students are assessed as a performer or coaches in the full-sided version of one activity. Plus: written/verbal analysis of performance.
