Assessment

IB Biology is 80% exam assessed. There are two papers with a mix of multiple-choice, structured short and extended response questions. The Individual Investigation contributes 20% of the final mark and is a selfdirected piece of practical work carried out at the end of Year 12. This is a challenging part of the IB course, but you will be well-supported by staff throughout and students find the process a rewarding one, particularly in having the opportunity to investigate something of personal significance or interest.
