Assessment

Assessment for this course comprises two exams, which account for 80% of the marks. These exams will require you to write insightful essays on language concepts and research, and engage in debates about language. The remaining 20% of the marks are obtained through two pieces of coursework. You will undertake an investigation of 2,000 words, exploring a language-related topic, and develop a creative piece accompanied by a 750-word commentary and annotated style model. The coursework begins approximately halfway through the course, providing you ample time to hone your research and writing abilities.
