Assessment

The assessment of Drama and Theatre A Level consists of a 40% written exam, 20% practical exam and a 40% Non-Examined Assessment (NEA), allowing you to demonstrate your practical understanding of the subject. The NEA includes components such as devising an original performance piece, showcasing your skills as a performer or designer, and creating group performances from key extracts. The written exam encompasses the evaluation of live theatre performances, the exploration of complete performance texts, and the reinterpretation of a chosen text for a contemporary audience.
