Paper 1 – Britain Transformed 1918 – 1997 (30%) 2 hours and 15 minutes exam. Paper 2 – The USA Challenge and Conformity 1955 – 1992 (20%) 1 hour and 30 minutes exam. Paper 3 – The British Experience of Warfare c.1790 – 1918 (30%) 2 hours and 15 minutes exam. A-Level History also requires a 3,000 – 4,000 Historical investigation piece of coursework analyzing and evaluating historical interpretations of the Vietnam War.
