Course summary

Studying A Level Biology gives the skills to make connections and associations with all living things around us. The A level programme is assessed by the OCR ‘A’ specification. Paper 1: Biological processes (37% of the qualification) examines biology at a cellular level, and the biochemical processes essential to life. Paper 2: Biological diversity (37%) covers diversity, evolution and applications of biotechnology. Paper 3: Unified biology (26%) is a synoptic paper drawing from the whole specification. The practical endorsement is delivered and assessed entirely in school.
