Course summary

The Extended Certificate is a two year vocational course and is equivalent to one A Level. Applied Psychology provides students with the opportunity to not only understand the theoretical perspectives which underpin the subject but also provides students with the chance to apply that understanding through applied tasks and coursework. This makes it an excellent choice for those looking to engage with psychology in a practical way. In addition to gaining knowledge and understanding by studying Applied Psychology you will develop many transferable skills such as: critical thinking, independent learning, active and methodical research skills, presentation skills and working actively in groups. Furthermore, you will also learn to make connections between the theoretical perspectives giving you a deep appreciation for the complexities of the human mind and behaviour.
