Course summary

A Level Further Mathematics takes the principles learned at GCSE and in A Level mathematics and expands them further. In A Level Further Mathematics students will study Further Pure mathematics, mechanics and Decision maths. A Level Further Mathematics takes the principles learned at GCSE and in A Level mathematics and expands them further. Students will study Further Pure mathematics, mechanics and Decision maths. The pure maths enables further study of algebra, an extension of calculus and an introduction to matrices and complex numbers. In mechanics students will learn about kinematics, mechanical models, statics, moments, centers of mass and collisions. In decision maths students will learn about algorithms, critical path analysis and linear programming.
