Course summary
An applied science course is an opportunity if you have aspirations to study and develop a career in the field of science. You will learn about the principles and practicalities of working in a scientific setting and the practical applications of biology, physics, chemistry and maths. Whether you are on the Analytical and Forensic Science or Biomedical Science route, you will study the same core of scientific modules, and 'wrapped' around them are modules specific to your chosen study programme. On successful completion of the second year you would be able to enter employment in the science service or other scientific related fields as a Science Technician or progress to higher education to study a full time degree in a range of science areas.
