Assessment

This course comprises three mandatory and one optional unit. Unit 1 - Information Technology Systems, is a theory unit assessed by a written examination. Unit 2 - Creating Systems to Manage Information, is a practical unit that is assessed by a set task completed in a given time period. Unit 3 - Using Social Media in Business, is a mixture of theory and practical and is assessed by the completion of coursework. Unit 6 - Website Development, is where students will get to explore and build websites, again providing evidence as coursework. Evidence for coursework is recorded in a variety of ways including podcasts, videos, multimedia products, web pages, reports, observations, witness statements, and interactive presentations. Each unit is linked to specific topics and audiences.
