Assessment

Physical Geography exam (2.5 hours. 40% of final grade) - This assesses the water and carbon cycles, coastal systems and landscapes, and natural hazards. Human Geography exam (2.5 hours. 40% of final grade) - This assesses changing places, global governance and systems, and contemporary urban environments. Geography fieldwork investigation (3000-4000 word report. 20% of final grade) - Students complete an individual investigation which must include data collected in the field. The individual investigation must be based on a question or issue defined and developed by the student relating to any part of the specification content. As part of the course students undertake a minimum of 4 days fieldwork.
