Course summary
The opportunities for students of Psychology, when they have completed a degree programme are enormous and a wide range of career choices are available: Clinical Psychology, Educational Psychology, Occupational Psychology, Counselling, Forensics (Criminal & Legal) and Sports Psychology. The course enables students to acquire a basis for further study and employment. It aims to encourage an experimental approach to Psychology linked to theoretical developments and to give an understanding of the methodologies of Science. Students are expected to develop the ability to collect, present and interpret experimental and empirical data. It is also useful in other areas not directly concerned with psychology: Management, Personnel, Teaching and Public Service.
