Biology at A Level will enable you to: • Develop an interest in and enthusiasm for Biology, including developing an interest in further study and careers in Biology. • Appreciate how society makes decisions about scientific issues and how the sciences contribute to the success of the economy and society. • Develop and demonstrate a deeper appreciation of the skills, knowledge and understanding of How Science Works. • Develop essential knowledge and understanding of different areas of Biology and how they relate to each other.
- Combined Science GCSE grade 6,6, or grade 6 in Triple Biology and at least a grade 6 in mathematics. - GCSE profile of five grade 5s or above.
A Level Biology is split into eight modules and you will sit three examinations at the end of Year 13. There is an essay based synoptic question worth 25 marks in paper 3.
