Assessment

Our assessment structure consists of an 80% examination at the end of the second year, complemented by a 20% individual fieldwork-based coursework project completed in the same year. This comprehensive approach ensures a balanced evaluation of your knowledge and practical application of geographical concepts. Four compulsory field study trips are required for the completion of this A Level course, these include trips to Hengistbury Head, Kew Gardens, Reading, and Basingstoke. We have a wealth of onsite areas to also complete smaller investigations. A non-compulsory international residential trip to Iceland is also open to all Geography students.
