• 5 units to complete • All units will internally assessed • Unit 1 and 2 will be externally assessed through a short answer examination • All units will be externally assessed through an extended written assignment This unit explores types and functions of childcare services, whilst considering the role of the child care practitioner. Aspects that will be covered: • The range of childcare services • Skills, attributes and behaviours of the professional childcare practitioner • Teamwork and child-centred practice • The role of continuing professional development (CPD) for best practice
