Assessment
The A level is assessed through two examinations, each counting for 40% of the A level, plus a Non-Examination Assessment worth 20%. The Non-Examination Assessment will ask you to write a short piece that shows off your own writing skills, combined with an analysis of your own writing. You will also undertake a Language Investigation in which you will discuss spoken language data and evaluate linguistic theories and ideas.
