Assessment

A Level Component 2 is a supervised, unaided time period where students produce an outcome following the preparatory period. Starting points are set by the exam board and the preparatory period begins from February 1st in year 2 with completion through a 15 hour supervised and examined time. This is worth 40% of the overall A Level with the other 60% based on Component 1. All components are internally marked and externally moderated. The work is externally moderated by the AQA board and forms part of the compulsory annual exhibition .It is the student’s responsibility to organise and display their work for moderation.
