Physics
Course summary
The course builds on topics studied at GCSE and introduces some new topics. To gain a full A-Level, students study nine modules: - Module 1 deals with the basics of measurement and error analysis. - Module 2 introduces ideas about particles, radiation and quantum phenomena. - Module 3 deals with wave motion including stationary waves. - Module 4 focuses on materials and builds on ideas about forces and motion. - Module 5 you will study electricity. - Module 6 involves a study of circular motion and builds on GCSE ideas about thermal physics. - Module 7 deals with gravitational, electric, and magnetic fields. - Module 8 students study nuclear applications. - The final module is optional.
