Assessment

80% of the course is assessed by examination at the end of Year 13. There are two examinations: Paper 1 - Language, the Individual and Society. Paper 2 - Language Diversity and Change. Two pieces of coursework make up the remaining 20%: An independent language investigation (2000 words excluding data) and a piece of original writing and commentary (1500 words total).
