Assessment

The course is assessed by three examinations at the end of Year 13 and a coursework project. • A level paper 1 9GEO/01 – Physical Geography (tectonics, coasts, water cycle, carbon cycle & energy issues) • A level paper 2 9GEO/02 – Human Geography (globalisation, regeneration, super powers, migration and global development) • A level paper 3 9GEO/03 – Geographical Issue Evaluation • A level Non-Examined coursework 9GEO/04 – Independent Coursework Investigation In Year 12, students are required to undertake fieldwork and this will involve a residential fieldtrip. Students will also be required to conduct fieldwork independently to enable them to complete their coursework.
