Covering news and current affairs from the UK and US, A-level Politics helps you understand how countries are run and develops research, written communication and debate skills. It also helps grow your confidence, understand the world around you and how politics makes a difference in every aspect of your life. In each of the units you will study the history and development of a range of political theories and how it impacts on the world today. You will also compare different political theories like liberalism, conservatism, socialism, nationalism and anarchism. From the historical to the current issues that dominate debates today, this A-level will give you a much better understanding of the World and how it has been formed by government and politics. It’s about what is happening now and what will happen in the future. This is an A-level which is constantly evolving.

Entry requirements

- This is why we require a Grade 5 or above in GCSE English and/or a GCSE humanities subject. - 5 GCSEs at Grade 4 or above (including English and Maths).
