Course summary

If you enjoy practical work and have an eye for detail, electrical installations could be a great career for you. Electricians install and maintain the equipment needed for the safe and efficient use of electricity, including fitting and repairing electrical circuits and wiring. During this course, you will study various units surrounding electrical installations and be assessment is through a combination of online multiple-choice exams and practical assessments. Study in our purpose-built electrical workshops to gain an insight into working within the electrical trade. You will continue to develop fantastic problem-solving skills along with a vast understanding of how electrical systems are wired and how they operate, as well a an understanding of design and site management. Courses are delivered using a range of methods including classroom based exercises, in the workplace or online study. Successful completion of the Level 3 Course qualifies you as an electrician, however, to become fully qualified you will need to undertake an apprenticeship standard with an electrical company. Becoming an electrician can be one of the most enjoyable and interesting jobs in the building and engineering industries. Once you have become qualified you can work all over the world.
