You will be expected to complete an exciting range of skill based workshops looking at the following areas of study and looking at the formal elements of Art: Painting and Drawing; Printmaking; Sculpture and Lens-Based Image Making. Visits to galleries and exhibitions will be used to enhance and develop your work. We celebrate the work of our students each year with an impressive exhibition.
- Art 6 - At least 6 GCSE subjects at Grade 6 or above. - At least a Grade 5 in English. - At least a Grade 5 in Mathematics.
Component 1: 60% of Final Mark A range of skill based workshops looking at Painting and Drawing; Printmaking; Sculpture and Lens-Based Image Making. Personal Investigation portfolio with a designated Art tutor responsible for setting and marking your work each week as you are set tasks to complete. Component 2: 40% of Final Mark You will be given a set starting point or theme and will be expected to develop a body of preparatory work over eight weeks, followed by a 15 hour examination.
