Assessment

This course is assessed using terminal examination and Non-Examined Assessment Paper 1: Written examination based on the following topics: • Biological molecules • Cells • Organisms exchange substances with their environment • Genetic information, variation, and relationships between organisms. Written Examination, 2 Hours. 35% Paper 2: Written examination based on the following topics: • Energy transfers in and between organisms • Organisms respond to a change in their internal and external environments • Genetics, populations, evolution and ecosystems • The control of gene expression. Written Examination, 2 Hours. 35% Paper 3: Any topic listed in Paper 1 and Paper 2 assessed in a written examination (including essay questions.) Written Examination, 2 Hours. 30%
