Computer Studies / Computing
Course summary
You will gain an understanding and ability to apply the fundamental principles and concepts of computer science, including: abstraction, decomposition, logic, algorithms and data representation. You will also develop the ability to analyse problems in computational terms through practical experience of solving such problems, including writing programs to do so. The A-Level consists of the study of Physical, Inorganic and Organic Chemistry topics. In Physical Chemistry, you will study atomic structure, bonding, energetics and kinetics along with chemical calculations. These are some of the building blocks of chemistry. In Inorganic Chemistry, you will learn how to explain, and predict, the patterns in properties and reactivity that occur through the periodic table and some of the reactions of certain groups. Organic Chemistry explores the world of carbon containing compounds, from simple molecules to the complex molecules of life.
