Course summary

A Level Geology covers a comprehensive study of the whole Earth. You will take part in a residential trip as well as day trips to locations along the south coast including Lulworth Cove, Isle of Wight, Bracklesham Bay, local chalk pits and Kimmeridge Bay. You will also be able to join an optional expedition to Iceland in the second year of your course. There is a dedicated Geology lab with excellent facilities including a learning zone that includes key terminology support, extension articles and exam skills. You will have access to an extensive range of mineral and rock samples, which will be used alongside high-quality teaching resources to enhance your learning. Geology is a scientific qualification that bridges the gap between the disciplines and will make you stand out from the crowd.
