Algorithms and programming is a written paper worth 40% of the total A level. The exam lasts 2 hours and 30 minutes covering a selection of the content from the ‘Algorithms and Programming’ module. A programming project is a practical module in which students design and code a complex program of their choice. It is worth 20% of the total A level.
