Course summary

Business A level offers students an insight into the ‘real working world’ and how successful firms thrive by making products customers need at a price and quality that more than matches rival offerings – while making a profit for risk taking owners. You are taught how to be a problem-solving business consultant. Business A level develops your ability to problem solve and add value to the activities of your employer, or to run your own enterprise. Business complements all science and humanities courses and is an enabling subject for a career in world-of-work occupations such as accountancy, insurance, banking and finance, or as a manager. Business and Economics are a useful specialist combination, assessing similar content from different perspectives.
