Are you keen to pursue an interest in designing and developing computer games? Through practical projects, you will design and produce digital games by exploring the parts that make up a completed game. Sessions are workshop based so you will have hands-on experience of using industry-standard software and workflow techniques. You will produce 3D and 2D game levels, game code, game design documents, concept art and user interface elements. Visiting speakers and visits will give you an insight into working in the industry. You will develop skills in Unity, Blender, Construct3, Adobe Photoshop and Visual Studio.
A mixture of at least 5 GCSEs at Grades 9 - 4 including English. Game, art or programming portfolios are welcomed but not essential.
The course is assessed internally, with no external exams. Learners will complete six coursework-focused units over two years of study.
